     “What can I do to change the world?”

     Locally we sponsor:

    Girl Scouts – Cub Scouts – Boy Scouts – Halloween Party – Easter Egg Hunt –
    Sr. Citizen Thanksgiving Dinner – Scholarships for HF-L and Lima Christian School graduating seniors –  Outstanding Lima student to attend Rotary Youth Leadership Camp – Pavilion and Gazebo at Mark Tubbs Park – Welcome Luncheon for new Teachers at HF-L school district

    Locally we assist in the following projects:
    Salvation Army Bell Ringing at Christmas – Angel Tree gifts for Children in Lima - Dictionary Project for 3rd Graders and The Theasurus Project for 6th graders at HF-L and Lima Christian Schools (co-sponsored with HF-Mendon Rotary)  - 4 Way Test Coloring Books to First Graders at the Lima Primary School -Earth Day at HF-L Manor School – Genesee Valley Rotary Camp for handicapped and disabled children

     Internationally we have helped by:
    Hosting and sending high school exchange students around the world – Hosting Group Study Exchange professionals from around the world – Purchasing wheelchairs for people who never had one – Purchasing Shelter boxes for Tsunami victims in the Far East – Providing safe drinking water facilities in India and Nicaragua – Providing solar ovens to help prevent the destruction of the rain forests in Central America – Rid the world of polio through Rotary International’s Polio Plus program (currently at about a 99% rate of total eradication.)

     A lot of things CAN be accomplished around the world, right from the “Crossroads of Western New York!”

     Stop in for a visit we meet every Thursday night at 6:30pm at the American Hotel.  Anyone can be a Rotarian, you have to be committed to your Community and the World, there are no other requirements.
