At our Feb. 2nd meeting Joshua Lavin was our guest speaker. Joshua is currently enrolled at ELIM Fellowship Institute here in Lima studying to become a minister. Joshua spent a year in Aquascalientes, Mexico, which is in District 4110, where he learned a whole new way of life. He had the opportunity to be hosted by three families who treated him as a son. He attended a local school where there where 2 boys and 15 girls in the class. While in Aquascalentes Joshua got together will other exchange student and volunteered their time at an orphanage where there where 250 children. Joshua said he learned how to interpret the world news differently as you hear and see what the pople living in the community say about it. He encourage any student who want to learn about the world to take the opportunity offered by this Rotary program.
